Santa Cruz stayes with you, its a scar on your body, it never fades aways, its full of difficult moments at the same time break taking moments. Santa Cruz is a place, that makes you, dig inside yourself to find courage to speak up, to stand up, not to fear the unknown. Women of Color that leave our home communities, where we are the majority, into a white privelege bourgeoiuse community, face constant harrasment, KKK's walking around as if they have no criminalize background but a hommy from Beachflats, can be pulled out of his car and taken away....white privelege. Convincing academic professors that you do know how to write, but you write differently, writing to us, mujeres is personal, we write what we feel.
